MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dear 2011 MGPHO Membership & Educational Convention Participants:
Thank you to all Member's and Guest's that joined us in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I appreciate your attendance in yet again another exciting and
informative convention by our Vendors, Committee Members, Presenters’
& BODs.
We had approximately 140 attendees. This is the largest turn out to date for a MGPHO Membership & Educational Convention.
We offered educational and technical seminars to help advance the
development of your business and career. I think everyone took full
advantage of the great opportunities, attended the seminars, and had a
great time mingling with your fellow members.

Special Thanks to the Harold Moret from the Copper Development Organization for his impromptu presentation on Copper.
Extraordinary efforts went into the planning of this Convention - a
year’s worth of volunteer time in organizing and coordinating.
Demonstrating once again the dedication and the commitment of the
members who contributed their valuable time for this great event.

Also, George Scott received the MGPHO Annual "Exceptional Service
Award" given to the person who has shown passion, dedication and desire
to improve the Health Care Industry and the person who represents the
ideals of the Organization. In addition to a Plaque for George, MGPHO
presented a check to George's favorite Charity in George's name.

NFPA Update
06/16/11
At the annual meeting of the NFPA, which was held recently, a new edition of NFPA 99 was presented for vote. With a couple of minor changes in wording, the document passed. This means that a new edition of NFPA 99 will be issued in November or December of this year, and it will have a February, 2012, effective date. The document will be as published in the ROP with minor changes as amended in the ROC. Those members of MGPHO that contributed proposed changes are thanked for their input.
